NEWS
While 2009 has been a most difficult year in many ways, Knightwing has had a successful year thanks to "YOU" our customers and we can't thank you enough.
New ideas and new products are being developed, but not as fast as we would like. We have had a lot of support from firms in getting plans for new products and hopefully some of these will bare fruit in the future. Some of our products have been deleted from our range while others have been out of stock far longer than we hoped.
Bear with us while we try to improve.
PICK & MIX
If in any of our White Metal kits there are items in those kits where you want more than 2/3 kits (ie where there are just one or two items, but you require 8 or 9 or whatever) we will make up special packs for you of just the item you want. Prices will vary according to the item, but we will keep the prices sensible. Please see our homepage for more details.
Loco 1
Sales of this kit have shot up since the conversion article in the Railway Modeller, thanks Peco its nice to see a British firm supporting British Companies. Its something we all should be doing.
This kit is a very versatile one and represents a great first time loco kit in its simple construction as an industrial diesel shunter or first step in conversion work. Mel converted one into a dummy and slave like the old hump shunters at Sheffield Tinsley. Hard to tell what he uses it for, but it does look good even if its a bit over the top for his layout. We hope to release some instructions for this kit under the Combi-kit theme in the future.
Are you the one?
Anybody out there who has won the Lottery (kidding I think) who wants to develop new ideas in the railway model market?
There must be someone who feels the same as we do and as we have not the time or the finances to do it all on our own, we need some help to push on with our approach to the hobby in developing for the future.
Sometimes we think we need a kick up the rear in order to take on a more business-like approach to our products while keeping our very British nature. We don't always get it right, but we try. Maybe you are the person we need to take us to the next level?
What form this will take is very open, but it you think you could help us in this development please contact us.
You cannot be serious!
The latest cynical, light-hearted, but somewhat serious observations on our Railway Modeling hobby by Yorkshireman Chairman Mel, taken from his 'Little Red Book', can be now be found on our website, just Click on the 'Thoughts of Chairman Mel' link in our Pages Menu.
